The following images document the process for creating a ceramic vessel that served as an example for an art lesson in sgraffito. 
Students were provided instructions for the technique, sketch samples that inspired the final design, and photographs of the finished work. 
As a new teacher, one of my goals was to simplify the information delivered during lessons. Too often, students are bombarded with lengthy packets or long lectures that make it difficult to approach or retain new information. I made an effort to reduce clutter, and make room for my students to explore their own ideas.
